Welcome to our two precious little girls!!!

We are now the very happy and proud new parents of two beautiful little girls Kylie Marie and Caelyn Elizabeth. They were born just after 7:30am on July 25th and weighed 1.7 and 2.1kg!

We are SO lucky and happy that we kept them inside as long as we did! They were born just before 34 weeks and are doing so well. They are still in the ICU, but are very healthy. We expect they'll be home by end of next week or at least we're hoping they'll will be. We can't wait to have our babies home with us and are just waiting for them to be able to feed on their own so they'll release them!!

We are so in love and proud of our little girls. They've already graduated from incubators to cots and have started to breast feed two times a day! I currently spend all day every day at the hospital with them and am so excited to get them home!

I've had a bit of a tough time with infections after my operation, but am slowly getting back on my feet! I'm sorry I'm so late with pictures, but you'll see several posted below! I'm hoping to be able to post more pictures soon, but there just never seems to be enough time. I have a feeling that's now the story of my life :) Hee hee!! It'll be so nice to take pics when they are home so we can dress them in their own clothes, they're not attached to cords, etc!

Andrew and I can't thank our family and friends enough for all of your support, healthy thoughts and congrats! We are truly blessed and appreciate everything you've done for us and our girls!! Fingers crossed they'll be home with us by the end of next week. My bet is Thursday!!

Lots of love and huge hugs!!!

  1. They're beautiful! So precious and tiny! I'm glad you're able to do kangaroo care (skin on skin) with them. Great job on breastfeeding twice a day! One of our friends in Joburg had twins and ended up pumping for them for a year. It's so much easier if they can breastfeed directly though- then you don't have to fuss with the bottles and pump as often.
