12 Months Pics & Update

I'm finally getting around to uploading a few pics that I took the day after their 12 months/1 year bday! I can't believe my babies are growing up soooo fast now! Kylie took her first steps on July 18th, but really only started taking multiple steps at once on her actual Birthday (July 25th). Now, only 2 weeks later, she's fully walking around everywhere. She can walk across an entire room and turn around to come back without holding one. She can walk, stop in one place to pick up something, and then carry on walking with that toy in her hands. It's incredible how quickly she's now getting around! We used to tease and call her a drunken penquin, but now she's so sturdy we just call her a robot penquin because she still walks with her feet turned out and often with her hands held out too! She gets soooo excited as she walks across the room and often squeals with delight. I'm hoping to catch it on video so I can share because it's super sweet!! Caelyn is very sturdy on her feet, but only started standing unsupported and taking steps last Saturday! She's up to taking about 5-6 steps in-between things or to come to me and she feels so proud of herself when she gets to her destination without falling! Before she starts to walk she often walks in place for a few steps to find her balance.. it's so cute!! Caelyn is making a huge effort to talk these days and is starting to get the hang of words such as bye bye and Daddy. Up until now the only word they've both really been able to say is Mama!! They both love trying to communicate with you these days. They blow kisses, wave by and hi, give high 5's (and baby 5's), shake their head no, and more! We're trying to teach them a few things in sign language, but so far they make up their own way of getting what they want from us across!! Their teeth are coming through hard and fast at the moment so that's been causing a bit of trouble with their sleep at night, but most of the time they sleep through from 7pm to 7am! We feel very lucky that we finally get to sleep because getting up all night was starting to get to us...well really me because Andy sleeps through it most nights :) I had a few friends take pics at their 1st bday party and am just waiting for them to send them to me. As soon as I do, I'll get them uploaded so you can see!! Miss and love you tons!! Big hugs!!!

Caelyn & Kylie's 1st Birthday Pics

Today was such an amazing day! I swear the girls new it was their Birthday because not only were they SO happy, but they were acting older already! Kylie had only taken maybe 10 steps over the past week and probably took about 30 yesterday. She was sooo proud of herself and it was too cute! Caelyn was talking up a storm and said the word "baby" yesterday when they got their 1st dolls. They had so much fun opening presents and even more fun eating their cake! I made their cakes and for my 1st cakes ever they actually turned out pretty good :) I can't believe a year has gone by since the birth of my babies, but I really feel so proud and so lucky to have such happy, healthy little girls! I love you Caelyn and Kylie. Happy Birthday!! Their party is Saturday so I'll be sure to get lots of pics and post again soon!! We are all really missing our family in the States and wish you could be here. We can't wait to see you in December. We love you!!!!
